Race for Governor of New Mexico

Susana Martinez Vs. Diane Denish

Election Results

||< Final Results ||= -- ||= -- ||= 53.6 ||= 46.4 ||= Martinez +7.2 ||

Martinez won the election by 7.2 points. I think Martinez won because she was better qualified, she has done more in the past and she was ahead in the election the whole time.

Daisy raises question about Martinez's Texas roots, this article is from KOB news in New Mexico

The election has leaned more toward Martinez. The article from KOB news is about Daisy trying to lower the public opinion of Martinez by saying she is a Texan not a New Mexican. She is also trying to use the past conflict between New Mexico and Texas against Martinez.

Analysis

Susana Martinez is going to win the election. She is ahead and was ahead and has stayed ahead. Maritnez also appears to be better qualified.
Throughout the election Martinez stayed in the lead then pulled a lot farther ahead. Now with Martinez 10 points ahead it seems that there is no doubt she is going to win.
